We brought in Chinese people to build railroads, then we didn't want any Chinese people in our country. People said they didn't want the dirty and filthy immigrants coming into the country - and they were talking about the Irish.
We were wrong about the Chinese and Irish, and we are wrong with scapegoating immigrants today for our economic crisis.
