On December 2007, Obama, along with four other major Presidential candidates, attended the Heartland Presidential Forum to speak with community leaders across the country.
On that day, Obama spoke with conviction on how the values of community organizing has influenced his political career. Community leaders across the country had the chance to speak to him about the issues affecting our communities and what they believed we could all do to improve the lives of everybody.
